This policy explains what personal data Edda collects when you join our pre-launch waitlist, and how we use it.

Who we are

Edda is a pre-launch consumer brand operated by CHS Holding AB, Stockholm, Sweden. CHS Holding AB is the data controller for personal data collected through this waitlist. For any privacy questions, contact hello@tryedda.com.

What we collect

• Email address — the address you enter on the waitlist form.
• Referral code — if you arrived via an invite link, we record which referrer you came from.
• Technical data — a hashed (irreversible) version of your IP address and your browser's user-agent, used only for rate-limiting and abuse prevention.
• Timestamp — when you joined the waitlist.

How we use it

• To notify you by email when Edda launches.
• To rank your position on the waitlist and credit referrals.
• To prevent abuse, spam and duplicate signups.

We will send at most two emails before launch. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except the technical service providers listed below.

Where it's stored

Waitlist data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database hosted in the European Union. Email delivery will be handled by a standard transactional email provider (to be named when launch emails are sent).

Legal basis (GDPR)

We rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) — you provide your email voluntarily to receive launch updates. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Sweden: Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@tryedda.com from the address you signed up with. We'll respond within 30 days.

Retention

Waitlist emails are kept until launch plus 12 months, or until you request deletion — whichever comes first. Rate-limit records are kept for up to 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy before launch, we'll post the updated version here and email waitlist members.
